Description
| This folder contains supplementary data for the manuscript "Development, benchtop validation, and application of a novel method for single-cell high-throughput assessment of phytoplankton from the environment (SHAPE)". This manuscript is currently under review in the Journal of Applied Phycology, and the record will be updated with publication details upon acceptance of the manuscript. This research aims to validate a novel high-throughput assessment method for phytoplankton from the environment. Five microalgal strains of known taxonomic identity were mixed at equal proportions and isolated using ultra-dilution into 384-well microplates. The plate wells were then subjected to fluorescence microscopy and cells were counted at weekly intervals over a 14-day monitoring period. The data presented here represents the cell data count, summaries of growth, and associated growth parameters (exponential growth constant and doubling time) for these experiments, as well as the R script used for figure creation and data analysis.
