Description	In order to become better prepared to support Research Data Management (RDM) practices in health sciences, Queen’s University Library, together with the University Research Services, conducted a research study of all ranks of faculty members, as well as postdoctoral fellows, medical residents, and graduate students in the Faculty of Health Sciences.

Universe	Participants included all ranks of faculty members, postdoctoral fellows, research fellows, research associates, lecturers, medical residents, and graduate students at master’s and doctoral levels from the Faculty of Health Sciences.

Characteristics of Data Collection Situation	The survey was distributed using the subscription-based FluidSurveys service. An email distribution list was compiled from information provided on the departmental websites. Personalized invitations were sent to 1275 unique email addresses via the FluidSurveys service. In some cases, faculty and graduate students’ emails were not available from departmental websites; in these instances, the survey team requested email lists from departments. Graduate lists were not available for the School of Nursing, Department of Biomedical and Molecular Sciences, Department of Public Health Sciences, and the School of Rehabilitation Therapy. Faculty and graduate lists were not available for the Department of Diagnostic Radiology, Department of Emergency Medicine, Department of Oncology, and Department of Otolaryngology. In these cases, the survey was distributed through departmental administrative offices; as such, the exact number of survey recipients is unknown.
Response Rate	The survey received 213 responses, with 122 completed, 76 partially completed, and 15 terminated. Here, “partially completed” refers to a survey where some questions were answered but the respondent never explicitly left the survey by clicking either the ‘terminate’ or ‘submit’ button. A survey was counted as completed if the respondent answered all required questions and clicked the submit button. Both completed and partially completed survey responses (213 in total) were included in the analysis. Based on the number sent out (1275), the response rate was calculated to be 15.5%.
