Materials in Archaeology and History of Ancient and Medieval Crimea. Archaeology, History, Numismatics, Sigillography and Epigraphy (abridged as Materials in Archaeology and History of Ancient and Medieval Crimea, MAIASK) is an international peer-reviewed academic journal covering topical issues of archaeology, history, numismatics, sigillography and epigraphy of Crimea and as well as adjacent territories. Published by the Lomonosov Moscow State University (Moscow, Russia), Institute of history and political sciences of the Tyumen State University (Tyumen, Russia) and Nizhnevartovsk State University (Nizhnevartovsk, Russia) since 2008. Its ISSN 2219-8857. Journal website address http://en.maiask.ru MAIASK is annual publication. The journal publishes articles in Russian and English. | Academic Scope and Subjects covered by the Journal Since its appearance, the journal has been positioning itself as supranational and interstate one. Its goal is to establish links and unite academic activities in archaeology, history, numismatics, sigillography and epigraphy in the whole world and, specifically, in the post-Soviet space. Materials in Archaeology and History of Ancient and Medieval Crimea facilitates professional communication between a wide circle of specialists in archaeology, history and other auxiliary historical disciplines, as well as enables familiarization of readers worldwide with recent academic research and developments. Subjects are not limited either regionally or chronologically. They include results of analytical research, interpretations and high-quality publication of new sources. Contributions on archaeology, history, numismatics, sigillography and epigraphy are accepted along with papers on auxiliary historical disciplines. |
